Happy Birthday America!

Star Valley is always a great place to be on the fourth of July.  This year, we got to spend it with both sides of the family.

Charlie loves Grandma Johnson.
I loved coming around the corner and seeing her swinging on the swing like a little kid.

Allie had fun showing her cousins around some of the most beautiful places in the world.

It was colder than cold in the water and the current was swift, but the littles braved it.

So did some of the nieces.

The water really was cold and when Nathan jokingly shoved Jason under the water, he lost his footing and went under and got swept away for a minute.  It scared them both.

I was mad at Nathan, but I thought it was nice to see that without prompting from me, he stepped in to try to make it better.  They may scuffle more times than I'd like, but they genuinely care about each other.

They're all pretty good to each other when they have to be.

That night, we had another firework show with the other set of cousins.
This time, things included fun glow in the dark bracelets and things.

Jason brought up a few penguins and made sure they were there to see the show.

It was pretty great, as usual.  Life is so good.
