Jake chose to play chess with Mike for his date. I don't know what we are going to do with this boy...he's pretty cocky about chess. He beat Mike. I wish my dad were around to play him. He might be able to show him a thing or two. Mike and I laughed about how my dad didn't like to lose, but Mike beat him at chess and he didn't take it well.
Anyway, I'm not much of a chess player, so I'll leave it to these guys...

"In the gospel of Jesus Christ you have help from both sides of the veil and you must never forget that. When disappointment and discouragement strike, and they will, you must never forget that if our eyes could be opened we would see chariots of fire as far as the eye could see riding at reckless speed to come to our protection (see 2nd Kings 6:16-17). They will always be there, these armies of heaven, in defense of Abraham's seed."--Dallin H. Oaks
