What's up guys, this is week 5000 out 20. This week was pretty standard for the Pines. Really hot and relaxing not.
On Tuesday we taught Claire and visited some new people. We went into a really poor area of Mandaue that day and we met another really old lady. I'm not really sure what it is about this area that brings in all the old people. She and her family were members but stopped coming to church even though they still believed. We basically just told them it is important to keep going to church and they really must have taken it to heart, because they straight up just didn't come to church the following Sunday.
Then on Wednesday, me and my companion both got food poisoning from some water. We ran out of clean water for a day so we just figured we would boil some normal water for 15 minutes for cooking purposes. Even then we got something because we were down for Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday, we taught a new interested person named Ryan. It is pretty nice having an interested person that is a guy because you can be sure they are interested in the message instead of my guapo companion, or they are interested in swindling an American. He is a pretty cool guy and we are excited to teach him more.
Not too much happened Friday and Saturday other than lessons with some inactive members.
Sunday was the ward primary program which was pretty cool. It was also a primary kid's birthday, so naturally, they sang the happy birthday song during sacrament meeting.
We had a dinner appointment that night and they had Dr. Pepper which was absolutely crazy for the Philippines.
For my more spiritual thought just be grateful for authentic Christmas music instead of the off brand stuff they have here, and be grateful for family and a warm fire. Anyway see ya.
