Dominoes

We try to stay away from media on Sundays.  It's tough for kids that like to get on the iPad first thing in the morning.  It's tough for a mom who likes to sleep in on Sunday mornings.  But, it is so fun to see the kids get creative with the toys that they don't always play with.  One of my favorites is when they break out the Lego's and stay entertained by that for hours at a time.  Another is dominoes.  Sometimes we line them up and watch them fall one after another.  Sometimes we just see how high we can stack them.  This is one of Jake's creations...

I had taken Nate and Jason downstairs so he could work on it without Godzilla attacks.  But when he asked me to come and take a look at his finished products, the beasts followed me up...

"I don't get it.  I just took one and they all came crashing down!"

Jake said he didn't mind, and we all got such a good laugh out of Jason's shrill exuberant screams that we decided it was worth all the work of building the thing in the first place.

The kid makes great growling destruction sound effects.
