The Great Divide

Nate and Jason spread all their candy out the other day so they could separate everything and choose the 10 pieces that they wanted to keep to themselves.  I let the kids eat their Halloween candy, but if I were to let them have free reign, things would be crazy around here!  So, they pick out 10 pieces that they can eat whenever they want (after they ask).  Then we put the rest away and they get it in lunches and other times.  It's worked out that way for a while now and they don't even complain.  There are plenty of treats around this joint.

That's quite a haul when it's all laid out like that!

For his 10, Nate changed his mind several times.  He did pick all the dots though and the Hershey's cookies and cream.  Then he came back and went for some Reese's.

Jason didn't hesitate at all.  He chose all 10 to be Reese's and didn't look back.

The garbage can in the boy's bathroom is stuffed with candy wrappers.  They have been great about asking though.  They like being in control a bit and I like being in control even more.  :)
