P.E.

In our home school quest, I think the kids are getting pretty good grades in P.E.  We find a hike or walk to go on every day.  Charlie loves it.

Jake hasn't wanted to be in many pictures these days, but there he is way at the top.

We've stumbled upon at least one dead deer on every one of our hikes.  We have to keep Charlie away, and most times, we have to hold our breath longer than is comfortable.

Today, we came across a mysterious hoof dangling from a bush/tree.  The boys studied it and looked for the rest of what we think is a deer, but it remains a mystery.

A gross mystery.

There's a monument up on top of one of our hikes.  The boys like to make up stories about the young man that is memorialized there.

They also like to drink from the spring on the way home.  They always get soaked in the process.

We're lucky to live so close to such a beautiful canyon.  It won't be long until it is green and then we'll be looking for milkweed and caterpillars again.
Life is good, and p.e. is good for all of us.
