Pumpkin carving winds up being a fiasco so many years. This year was no different. Allie was really busy with homework (she's been swimming since our trip), so she was sad to be in there working while the boys were digging in pumpkin guts. I told her I'd gut hers and she could come carve it later. That's sacrifice because it's not really a favorite thing of mine.
Jason and Nate were pretty independent too.
Charlie had to be pulled away from mounds of gross stuff that the kids were careless with and had flung everywhere but the garbage bowl.
In the end, the littles left before they were done carving and didn't get final pictures. Jason was upset with the way his had turned out and there's really no getting back what you've cut, so...
Nate just gave up when it didn't turn out how he envisioned.
Jake made a piece of toast.
Random?
Allie made a winking pumpkin...
We survived another year of pumpkins. It might not have been ideal, but we survived.
