Eagle Scout

Jacob earned his Eagle Scout award!  Mike really pushed to get things done and he made it happen.

We had the court of honor in place of the YM activity so we could get a good turn out from the boys.

Jacob gave Mike the mentor pin and said that he was the only reason he got his Eagle.  That is completely true.  Sometimes people talk about how the moms push the scout into earning his eagle...not the case in our house.  It was all Mike.  I guess he has been the scout master for the last few years, so maybe that's why he pushed so hard.

Grandma was able to come up tonight.  She had a scrapbook showing my dad's eagle scout days and the awards he won.  She ended up giving a talk because she had so many good things to say and I hadn't planned things very well (at all).  So she saved the day and spoke.

Way to go Jake!  We're proud of you!
