Mike took some of the kids to get the tree this year and they picked out a lovely one. It was perfect.
We decided to get set up right after Thanksgiving because we knew we'd have construction going on in the first days of December and we wanted to make sure we didn't put it off.
I have to laugh that we may be in the minority of families who don't listen to Christmas music as they decorate the tree. Allie tried to put some Christmas music on, but Mike and I just refused. We just aren't fans. Sorry kids! So we listened to some big band music and jammed.
The kids were all great helpers and we got it done without too many fights. One for the books!
