Our neighbors invited us out to their lot at Glendale to ride around. I couldn't believe how far down the water is! The boys rode around a bit and got stuck in some mud. They had a great time.
After a little while of that, we went to Oneida where they had some water still and we went boating.
The kids swam over to the hot springs, and I did too.
Then, we had fun on the tube.
I love watching these boys on the tube. Their faces are hilarious. After wild turns, they always put the thumbs down sign out to tell us to slow down. Do we do it? Nope.
Jake had a wild ride and got dumped once.
It was just a really nice day.
When Allie got in the water to ski, the boat wouldn't start. The battery was dead and the portable charger wasn't working on it. The kids said a prayer and right away, someone stopped to tow us back to the dock.
Mike didn't take long to toss Nate out for a ride as we got towed in...
He pulled him in carefully, saying "that would be terrible if you fell in because we couldn't turn back to get you. Then, he tried to help Allie into the little tube, only to have her fall out and we had to ask our tow boat to turn around for her. Doh!@%
I guess it's a fun story to tell. :)
We played around on shore for a bit and then we got the boat loaded and headed home. It was a bummer to have the boat break down, but it was a fun day.
We're sad to see boating season coming to an end. This year is just flying by!
Crazy.
