I heard that there are a few vegetables that will propagate if you put them in water. I figured, since we're supposed to avoid going into stores, I might as well give it a try. I had some romaine lettuce and we plopped it in water. Nate took over and has been completely interested in it. The one on the right is 2 weeks old now and they are all just a few days younger than each other as you go down in size. It's pretty cool! I guess we'll have enough lettuce for a salad before you know it!
